22nd of April is internationally known as Earth Day. The theme of Earth Day 2021 is Restore Our Earth™, since what is happening to the entire world and its results. Today, we brought together 7 simple things you can do to reduce waste to celebrate Earth day and start making your part – if you're still not doing so!
1. BYO (Bring Your Own) Things
Bringing our own bag to the grocery store is already a must, but what about getting your own straw or coffee mug to your favorite coffee shop? An excellent solution is to create your own "Zero-Waste Kit," with everything that suits your lifestyle and always bring it with you everywhere, so you won't have the need to make trash on the go. Reusable items are staples for a zero-waste lifestyle.

2. DIY (Do It Yourself)
Many daily life products and cosmetics can be homemade. For example, to create zero all-purpose waste cleaner, you just have to put equal parts of white vinegar and water together and then let this mixture marinate with some lemon scraps for scent.
Learning how to make your own household products feels pretty empowering once you get started. After you make one product successfully, it gets you to start thinking about what other products you could make for home. Before you know it, you're DIYing everything you see. It's a big money saver. Good for the environment, good for your wallet!
3. Think local
Shopping at the local market is very advantageous since you will be supporting local farmers while also getting fresher ingredients than you would find at the grocery store. Food produced locally doesn't have to be shipped as far or refrigerated in transit. Local farmers often rely on less packaging, and many are happy to have you return last week's berry basket or egg carton for use next week.
